CHARLOTTE, NC – The North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) and the High Performance Expo (HPX) jointly announce the NCMA’s 2025 annual Industry Awards Ceremony will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC) during HPX, on Wednesday evening, June 4, 2025.

Tickets for the NCMA Industry Awards Ceremony will go on sale in January 2025 via the HPX website. Individual tickets, tables and sponsorships will be available. HPX attendees and exhibitors are invited to join the celebration, but attending HPX is not required to buy tickets to the awards ceremony.

“As the host organization, the NCMA is demonstrating its support and commitment to the High Performance Expo by moving our annual Industry Awards Ceremony to collocate and coincide with HPX 2025 in downtown Charlotte,” said Greg Walter, NCMA chairman of the Board, and president and general manager of the Charlotte Motor Speedway. “This is an exciting celebration of racing.”

“NASCAR also just announced its national, regional and international series awards and post season celebrations are moving to Charlotte Convention Center in the Queen City for the first time,” said Scott Lampe, NCMA board vice chairman and CFO of Hendrick Motorsports. “We are in full support of the move for NASCAR and the NCMA awards, it just makes good business sense.”

“Holding the NCMA awards during HPX in June allows many racing suppliers from outside the Charlotte area, who otherwise couldn’t join in the celebration to attend,” said Greg Fornelli, NCMA former chairperson and current board member, and founder and president of Stock Car Steel. “Charlotte might be the Queen City, but Motorsports is the King here. It’s a natural fit and linking these events together will broaden awareness and increase participation.”

During the annual ceremony, several awards are handed out, but the most prestigious is the North Carolina Achievement Motorsports Tribute Award. Past award winners include:

·        Rick Hendrick

·        Bobby Allison/Davey Allison

·        Joe Gibbs

In addition, a portion of each HPX registration fee will be donated to NCMA’s sister charity, the North Carolina Motorsports Foundation (NCMF), whose mission is to support the racing industry through education initiatives. The annual NCMF scholarship recipients will also be recognized at the event.

“HPX is committed to bringing tremendous excitement to the show, and the NCMA’s annual Industry Awards Ceremony is another proof point differentiating HPX,” said Dana Teague, HPX general manager. “We are working hard to create value for exhibitors, attendees and enthusiasts, while building a must-attend event.”

The inaugural High Performance Expo (HPX), the exclusive business and enthusiast show hosted by the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA), will be held from June 3-5, 2025, at the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC), followed by area-wide enthusiast activities.
