NC Motorsports Industry Ceremony Rescheduled To April 19

CONCORD, N.C. — The North Carolina Motorsports Association has rescheduled the NC Motorsports Industry Ceremony, originally scheduled for Jan. 25, to Tuesday, April 19. The ceremony will honor NASCAR Hall of Fame championship team owner and Pro Football Hall of Fame football coach Joe Gibbs with the Achievement in Motorsports Tribute Award. The annual gala, which did not take place in 2021 due to the pandemic, will still take place at Embassy Suites Ballroom in Concord.

A native North Carolinian, Gibbs will join motorsports notables such as Richard Petty, Richard Childress, Junior Johnson, O. Bruton Smith, H.A. “Humpy” Wheeler, Ned Jarrett family, Dale Earnhardt, Benny Parsons, Mike Helton, Jeff Gordon, Roger Penske, Jack Roush, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Robert Yates as NCMA Achievement in Motorsports Tribute honorees. NC Motorsports Recovery Funds

The North Carolina Motorsports Association is actively working with the NC Department of Commerce to notify race tracks in the state about the budget funds that may be available to them through the American Rescue Plan.  For more details, race track operators are encouraged to reach out to Mark Poole at the Department of Commerce at mpoole@nccommerce.com
